About Me

I started this blog almost 7 years ago when I was gearing up for one of my biggest travel adventures ever. In the fall of 2012 I packed up all of my belongings into one small suitcase and moved to Rome to become an Au Pair. This blog has chronicled the ups and downs of that adventure and has highlighted a few cool things that have happened since like backpacking Europe with my sisters in summer 2013, road-tripping around the US for 2 months while working for a non-profit, starting out in the travel industry back in Vancouver, and a few more daily life things as well. I’m not a consistent writer but I’d like to get back into it. I don’t know who reads this or who cares about what I have to say, but right now I’m writing for me. I haven’t been a travel nomad for years but right now my heart is a bit restless. I may get personal on here but that’s who I am. I wear my heart on my sleeve and even though I wish this space could be happy-go-lucky all the time, that just isn’t reality. I still plan to write posts on travel since that is what makes me happy but be prepared for pretty much anything. As I said, I’m writing for me 🙂
